YOGHOURT'S CAPRICES

This is a brilliant combination of a healthy product with a high gastronomic level in terms of flavours and textures

Description

The Pastoret de la Segarra, a company specializing in dairy products, curd cheese and yogurt for restaurants, has known how to develop this historic product into a very top quality dessert.

It represents a new concept in yogurt-based desserts in which the magic lies in the mixtures of textures and the quality of the basic products. It is a combination of fruit sauces, marmalades, actual pieces of fruit and tasty toppings.

Even though the flavours are changed from time to time, we can highlight: the Greek style yogurt, orange and chocolate; baked apple, pear and cinnamon; lemon and mint; mango and wild fruits and coffee toffee.

Instruction manual
  1. The Yogurt Caprices should be kept refrigerated.
  2. When they are offered in three layers, consumers should try to avoid turning them over because that will ruin their attractive presentation.
  3. The Yogurt Caprices should be eaten directly from their own container, which can be placed in a cup or small glass recipient.
  4. It is a light dessert, which adds the perfect final touch to a heavy meal.
  5. It has a 30 day expiration date.
Recommendations for the accompanying beverages

These desserts feature a mixture of very different aromas and, above all, highly diversified tactile sensations. There is a small, very pleasant and well-integrated acidic note, which adds a special touch to enhance the overall taste.

There are many and diversified wines which would go well with these desserts: Very dry, aged Cavas, because the carbonization will add a dynamic note to the dessert. Dry Malmsey from La Palma or from Lanzarote due to its acidity. And for those with a sweet-tooth, the Palo Cortado Marqués de Rodil envelops the sensations well.

Nutritional value

The caloric value of this dessert is 154 kcal/100 g. The basis for the Greek style yogurt is the milk and it offers us a nutritional composition similar to that of the traditional yogurt, but with a greater content of top quality proteins (of high biological value), minerals like calcium, and vitamins like riboflavin, vitamin A and vitamin D. Calcium plays an important role in the maintenance of the bone tissue and it is fundamental for growth and development. Riboflavin is essential for making use of the energy from the food. Vitamin A is essential for good vision, as well as for healthy skin and superficial tissues, especially the mucous linings. Vitamin D is essential for the absorption of the calcium and phosphorous and so it helps to maintain the correct blood levels of these minerals. In addition, it contributes to maintaining the proper functioning of our intestinal tract, thanks to the probiotics and milk ferments which it possesses and which exercise a positive effect on episodes of diarrhoea or constipation.  As there are many flavours, the nutritional value varies according to the ingredients.
