lite Gourmet has been launched to promote and attain worldwide recognition and appreciation of Spanish products, namely, our Foods and Beverages. This project goes hand in hand with the efforts made over the last few years to enhance the prestige of the most outstanding chefs and restaurants in Spain.
Elite Gourmet is a non-profit Cultural Association, which relies on the participation of those companies, which are interested in maintaining the prestige of Spanish cuisine all over the world, particularly through our excellent natural resources.
Elite Gourmet has created a Seal of Quality which is only applied, not to the companies, but to the truly unique products that represent the very top of their respective categories in the different ranges of Foods and Beverages.
In this way, the final consumers, either Spanish or foreign, can purchase our Foods and Beverages with confidence and the assurance of the quality he or she is seeking.
The Elite Gourmet seal will guarantee all the products which bear this distinction and which stand out due to their excellence.
Elite Gourmet will undertake the necessary marketing and communications actions in order to offer the different sectors some of the best Food and Beverages in the world which are found in Spain at the present time, particularly if we take into account the Quality-Price ratio.
Elite Gourmet comes into being not as a Commercial Channel, but as a special Project for creating an Image and Prestige for Food and Beverage Products and with the intention of positioning our food products at the maximum level of recognition on the international gastronomic scene.
The Elite Gourmet Project relies on the valuable support of the most representative “gurus” of the gastronomic world.
Spain has to make every effort to maintain its leading position at the forefront of world gastronomy and also reaffirm the prestige of our chefs and restaurants. However, it is also important to promote our “pantry”, our natural resources.
As is to be expected, Elite Gourmet began operating with more than 28 star products and with 22 companies which make up Elite Gourmet..
In the future, by means of the pertinent tasting and evaluation committee, new products will be added to the different sectors and new companies will be incorporated, which wish to contribute, in an altruistic manner, to enhancing the prestige and consolidating the position of Spanish gastronomy throughout the world.
